Burn Care
Life threatening burns are best treated in a special regional burn unit, but smaller burns are treated commonly in a plastic surgery practice. Depending upon the nature of the burn and the part of body involved, this treatment can consist of dressing changes and wound care or possibly operative treatment, such as skin grafts and flaps. Significant burns or burn scars should be treated by a board certified plastic surgeon. Below are some cases illustrating operative burn care provided by Dr. Harris.
